I have a passion for , , , and all these weird blockchain things.

I hold a Bachelor's degree from Savannah College of Art (SCAD) and have been working in the design industry for more than two decades. During this time, I have honed my skills in design principles, user experience, and rapid prototyping. I'm proficient in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Adobe Xd, Figma, and have a working understanding of front-end development languages like HTML, CSS/SASS, JavaScript & different types of frameworks. I hold a Bachelor's from Savannah College of Art (SCAD) and have been in the design industry for over 20 years. In that time I have honed my skills in multiple disciplines leveraging design principles to champion the user's actual needs and experiences. I’m proficient in all the design tools and systems you would expect, with a working knowledge of front-end development environments and frameworks.

Geffen Logo I’ve had a passion for designing since I can remember and have pursued this passion by working with many clients and projects over the years. I’ve worked with startups, small businesses, and large corporations - often leading a team, but sometimes as a design team of one.

My focus is on delivering outcomes and enjoyable experiences. I believe design should be user's first and my approach to the creative world reflects that. I work closely with my team to understand the requirements, conduct user-research and create wireframes/prototypes to ensure the end goal. The final design should meet both user and business goals and allow for constant collaboration with the engineers and developers.

In my free time I enjoy discovering new design trends and technologies, attending design conferences and workshops, and sharing my knowledge with the design community. Got an idea? Reach out!

Approach
  • Design Thinking

    Design Thinking is a human-centric, iterative problem-solving approach that empowers individuals and teams to tackle complex challenges by deeply understanding the user's needs, brainstorming ideas, prototyping and testing potential solutions, and ultimately delivering innovative user-driven results. It places empathy at its core, fostering a mindset of continuous iteration and emphasizing the importance of real-world feedback. True value proposition, offered up with the least friction for the user, makes the best product.

  • Design Management

    Design management involves the strategic orchestration of the creative team to foster innovation and deliver on requirements. It encompasses effective leadership and communication with stakeholders, bridging the gap between the design team and business goals while protecting the team so they can concentrate on work. This includes tracking and translating design insights into actionable milestones, setting a roadmap for design that gels with engineering (and the overrarching company mission), and finally evangelizing design's value across the board. Successful design management hinges on the ability to communicate and collaborate with stakeholders, accomplish the goals, and inspire the team to succeed! Mentoring and culture-fit are crucial too.

  • Wireframes -> Live

    The tactile design process is a hands-on journey of creation and validation, starting with wireframes that sketch out the blueprint of an idea. Rapid prototypes come next, transforming these concepts into interactive, tangible models, allowing users to explore functionality. This iterative path from wireframes to live demos ensures that the design not only looks good but also functions seamlessly, resulting in user-centered, engaging, and well-executed solutions. And great early user feedback!
